Synthetic rubber is synthesized by artificial methods, using different raw materials (monomers) to synthesize different types of rubber. Butadiene rubber and styrene-butadiene rubber are the output of the largest general-purpose synthetic rubber. RB soles have good wear resistance, stable shrinkage, and good flexibility, but the material is heavy and is generally used for outsole.


PU: Polyurethane, which is a polymer polyurethane synthetic material, PU is a leather material. Too many kinds. Help surface material. On the code to sell, there are expensive and cheap! Basically not expensive! Also has a PU bottom. Foreign trade orders are rarely used here. PU is a high-density durable material based on foam rubber. It has high density and hardness, good wear resistance and elasticity, but it has strong water absorption, is easy to break, and is easy to yellow. PU is often used in basketball, tennis shoe midsole or midsole, and can also be directly used in the outsole of casual shoes.

PVC: Polyvinylchloride, polyvinyl chloride, is a synthetic material widely used in the world today. PVC is also a leather material. Inexpensive, but also high-end. Most are cheaper, oil-resistant, wear-resistant, have good insulation properties, but have poor slip resistance, are not cold-resistant, not fold-resistant, and have poor air permeability.


TPU: Thermoplastic Polyurethane, thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer, is a linear polymer material. The advantage of TPU is that it has good elasticity, but the material is heavy and the shock absorption ability is poor. Commonly used in jogging, walking, and casual shoe midsole.

TPR: Thermoplastic Rubber, thermoplastic elastomer, also known as thermoplastic rubber. TPR outsole name. Different from RB, it is more fragrant. Smell it with your nose. The price is about the same as RB. Sometimes high RB5 hair, sometimes low RB5 hair. It not only has high strength and high resilience of rubber but also can be processed by injection molding. It has multiple characteristics such as environmental protection and non-toxicity, a wide range of hardness, excellent colorability, soft-touch, fatigue resistance, good temperature resistance, and excellent processing performance. Both secondary injection molding and separate molding are possible, but the wear resistance is poor.

TR: The synthetic material of TPE and rubber has the characteristics of many appearance patterns, good hand feeling, bright color, high finish, high technical content, and can be 100% recycled, which is an environmentally friendly sole material.

Identification and characteristics of material soles

About the identification of PU, PVC, TPR, TR, RUBBER, etc.:

PU is the lightest and most wear-resistant. The sole of the PU material is easy to recognize, light in the hand, and the holes on the back of the sole are round. The sole made of PVC is heavier in the hand than TPR. The elasticity of the TPR material sole is better than that of the PVC material. If you hold the sole firmly, it will fall down naturally. If it can bounce, the TPR material sole of the PVC material is cheaper than the TPR material, but the quality is not good, especially in winter. It is easy to break the bottom. One of the characteristics of the PVC sole is that there is no injection hole, and if you smell it with your nose, it will have a smell. If you leave it for a long time, it will grow white things. The surface of the sole of TR is very bright. It is harder than the general TPR sole. The injection hole of TR is more than that of TPR. The injection hole is very special.

In terms of weight: RUBBER (rubber) is the heaviest, PU and EVA are the lightest, in terms of material: PU is expensive, EVA and TPR are moderate, and PVC is the cheapest. The material of high heels is expensive and hard.

Application: PVC is mostly used in the lining or non-weight-bearing parts, or in the manufacture of children's shoes; PU leather can be applied to footwear fabrics or weight-bearing parts. In terms of bags, PVC leather is more suitable. This is because the item in the bag, unlike the foot in the shoe, does not emit heat; it does not bear the weight of the individual. The difference between PU and PVC is relatively easy. From the corners, the base fabric of PU is much thicker than that of PVC, and the hand feel is also different. PU has a softer hand; PVC has a harder hand; it can also be burned with fire. The taste is much lighter than that of PVC.
